Are you running out of ideas of where to put your Christmas elf toy? There's still fifteen days left until Christmas, so it's time to start getting creative. Kids get bored and uninterested seeing their plush elf toy in the same old spots as last year, so spice things up! Put a smile on their faces and enhance their Christmas spirit by having some fun with your elf.
Here is a list of some creative places and situations for your elf doll that you and your children will both have fun with!
- Playing a Board Game: Set up your elf across from one of your child's favorite stuffed animals to make it look like they're squaring off in a game of Connect Four, Trivial Pursuit, or Monopoly (bonus points for Christmas addition).
- Potato Sack Race: Again using some of your child's other stuffed animals, set up 3 or 4 of them (including your elf) in paper bags to make it look like they are engaging in a potato sack race.
- In the Coffee Pot: Stuff your elf into the coffee pot. Blenders work just as well. Just make sure they are unplugged so no accidents occur
- In the Christmas tree: Hang up your elf in the Christmas tree and see if your child can spot him amongst all the other Christmas ornaments.
- Date Night: Set up your elf across from a Barbie where they are either (A) Using straws to drink from the can of soda or (B) connected a string to each of their mouths a la The Lady and the Tramp
- Snowball Fight: Set up your plush elf toy across from another stuffed animal in the house. Set up Lego blocks as barriers and use little pieces of paper or cotton balls as snowballs.
- Fishing in the Sink: Set up your elf toy at the rim of the sink, give him a little stick as a fishing pole, tie a string to it, and tie a goldfish (the snack) to the end. Note this one can only be done with an Elf Workshoppe elf toy (www.theelfworkshoppe.com).
These are just some great things to do with you Christmas elf toy. There are endless possibilities, you just have to be creative and have a big imagination. Hope you enjoyed the ideas I presented and I hope you can come up with many, many more. Merry Christmas and have a safe and Happy Holidays!
