The brilliant son of STRATOCASTER – ROOSTER'S STRUT by STRONG MANDATE had one of the most dominating seasons in recent memory last year winning 13 of 14 races and banking over 451Kc! The 3 YO homebred of Season 31 Trainer of the Year Foggydan Farms had only raced once as a juvenile, but demonstrated his class and professionalism on debut coasting to a wire-to-wire score in an impressive 97 speed figure.

He followed up his smashing juvy maiden-breaker winning his next 6 races in a row, with each performance more impressive than the last. Going into the digitaldowns.us Triple Crown Series the superstar colt who could run for days had his sites set on capturing the Triple Crown title, however, he would be denied in Leg 1 by fellow HOY candidate TARYNWINSG'SRACES by the slimmest of margins. The determined colt undaunted after his first defeat, later captured the G1 Citation Stakes in a sparkling 2:02.47 and earning an astonishing 99 speed figure! The dominating victory only intensified his resolve as he would not lose again the rest of the season. Following the race, the community seemed resigned to running for second place, sending out just 3 other runners to contest the G1 Seattle Slew Derby and 3rd leg of the Triple Crown. The powerful colt struck the lead from the start en-route to a 5 length laugher.

The dual classic victor would march on unopposed to the Route Championship Final where he completed his masterpiece of a season, this time applying a powerful stretch-running performance to capture his first title! Congratulations to Dan of Foggydan Farms on the HOY honors and a remarkable Season 32 at digitaldowns.us!

The big money sprint finals are finally here! We have a 12 pack of older Colts/Fillies set to battle for 12F for the ultimate prize. The winner will get the lion's share of 307,200Kc. It was a long journey for these older colts and fillies to get the necessary points to make it into the big money finals. Amazing job by the connections to get to this point. Let's take a closer look at the field.

#1 TAYLORSLILBITOFSHINE

Filly collected 6 more wins and banked just over a 182Kc in another solid season. Last season's 3 YO Route champion looks to add more hardware to her collection with a cozy rail spot tonight. Her wins for the most part have come against allowance foes she's she's been strong all season long at these marathon distances. She does her best work on or just off the early pace, with the rail tonight she might make things interesting if she can set some easy fractions early.

#2 TAYLORMAKESMEMAD

5 YO multiple graded stakes winning mare needs a big finish tonight to push her earnings past the 1,000,000c mark. 2nd in last season's Champ Route finals for older horses she's struggled this season finding wins and it appears she may be getting a little long in the tooth to challenge for the top honors. Still capable of a podium spot when she fires her best. Solid chance underneath.

#3 BEASTLY PLANET

Lost a nose bob in her only race of substance this season in a short 5 race campaign. She's faced top class foes her entire career, but doesn't have as polished a resume at these route distances for me to believe her form will change tonight. Needs a top ride to factor.

#4 AL AN APEX

Colt qualified tonight off a couple of 3rd place efforts against this group going shorter. His success at these marathon distances have been disappointing finishing off the board in the Champ Route conso each of the past two seasons. Needs to show more to challenge for the minors.

#5 SYLVIA TRENCH

Had her best race against this group last out finishing a hard charging 2nd to former H.O.Y VARYS TOUCH. She's had a modest 4 YO season collecting just one win and 47Kc for her efforts. I do like the nice improvement in her last and the fact she's won at 12F this season, but would need to move forward again to challenge.

#6 THE JOKING WITCH

Filly has always been a threat with her high cruising speed and perhaps could be the early leader rounding the first turn if she's let loose early. 3rd in the Classic Champ final last season and a good 2nd in the Route Conso she fits well against this group. Despite her off the pace 2nd in the conso last season I'm concerned she can stay the 12 panels tonight. Her best asset is her speed, but I don't think she'll hold together if she uses it.

#7 PRAISE BUDDHA

Connections showed last week what can happen when you have a classy runner with declining form come into a big race with nothing to lose. However, getting loose on the lead at 9F is entirely different than staying at 12F. This 5 YO race mare has been more of a 10F specialist during her career, but has run admirably going long before finishing 4th in this event 2 seasons ago. Limited resume at this distance leaves her off my tickets.

#8 VARYS TOUCH

Former H.O.Y last season at 3 has quietly had a solid 4 YO season notching 5 more wins to his already gaudy win total and banking just over 227Kc in earnings. The 3 YO Classic and Route champ enters tonight's event in fine form, winning by open lengths in his last going 10F. He's been a bit vulnerable at tonight's 12F distance in the past and likely be the main reason he gets beat if he brings his best. Strong ITM contender regardless.

#9 CARROT CAKE ZACHY

Colt showed his strong late kick two back rallying from 8th to just get up in time against this group going 12 panels. He's been known to run huge on the biggest stage before and can't be counted out especially at this distance. The longshot G1 Seattle Slew Derby champion last season at 12F, turned a few heads with his near last to first finish in the Classic final that same season. He has one of the strongest late kicks in the game and could be heard from late if he can uncoil that devastating run again.

#10 ASSASSIN'S CREED

Classy filly is zeroing in on the half million mark in earnings if she can run into the top 2 in here. She's winless this season, but has only started 6 times and has been ITM in 4 of those tries against this group. She tracked a runaway winner last out in the Classic Conso before giving way in the late stages to be 4th. She's run well at these marathon distances before, but has had been slighted with poor posts in most of her races. That unfortunately doesn't change tonight.

#11 TAYLORGOTALKEDINTOIT

Took my breath away last season with her strong sweeping move in the G1 Red Rose Oaks finishing in near record time and drawing clear by 4 lengths! She's pushed her earnings past the 1,000,000 mark with another fine season capturing 6 wins and just over 200Kc. She's likely lost a step since her remarkable score over this track one season ago, but you have to wonder if she's meant to go out on top drawing the very same #11 gate she had last season.

#12 RIVERS REVENGE

Classy colt drew poorly tonight, but is rarely out of a race. While he only has just 1 win in 9 starts he's been around the superfecta in most of his runs this season. He's enjoyed the most success at this distance in his career, but would need a bit of racing luck or a fast pace to threaten for the win.
