Combat Mode: The fight to exceed high expectations
Motivation is highly over-rated. I'm not against emotional ecstasy, that gets you all fired up propelling you to that euphoric zone where you believe you can achieve anything. Starry-eyed enthusiasm fueled by an motivational charge has it limitations. The initial motivational high, that arouses within us the desire to do, achieve and become is not sustainable. The fleeting tendency of motivation causes many of us to underperform or restart continually or drop out completely. True potential, can never be made manifest, on a rollercoaster ride of fickle emotions. It isn't enough to look back and say last week I was on fire and determined but today I simply don't feel motivated to accomplish my goals.
Major self-esteem damage occurs, and the possibility of heighten frustration develops, when expectation level exceeds the level of commitment. This causes many to abandon their plans and go in search of another approach that provides initial motivation. This often leads to being trapped in an endless loop of having high expectations but achieving subpar or no results.
Think about all the New Year resolutions that you really, really, really, really wanted to achieve but didn't. Think about the frustration and loss of integrity that follows. Motivation is not a good foundation to build your aspirations on.
Treat motivation as an unreliable acquaintance.Motivation might be good to have but never depend on it. Fuel each day with committed responsibility, as you develop a completely committed and totally responsible mindset. This is the best way to stay on your path of excellence, you push through simply because you are committed to the goal, no motivation is need. This is not an easy task but it is simple. Maybe it was ordained by the Ancient of Days, that the solutions would be simple but definitely not easy. The objective has to be earned, you must stand your ground and defend your territory. It is your duty and responsibility to stay focused on your mission.
There will be plenty of days when you don't feel like it, but battle on. There are no perfect conditions so no need to wait. Don't allow difficult circumstances to delay your action. Work through the difficulty as you grab ahold of responsibility. Your only concern is doing your part, mastering yourself. Refuse to give up on yourself even when the way becomes rough and difficult. You can do this thing, encourage yourself as you break free from whatever bondage, that has been holding you back. Maybe you have been held back by the bondages of irresponsibility, laziness, sense of entitlement, people pleasing, or the desire for everything to be quick and easy. Whatever has been holding you back, break-free. Today is the day you awaken to the reality that you can push through and conquer, arise release your greatness. and battle for your destiny.
