Directed by Akarsh Khurana, The Interview is a four time META winner play, which has again come to Mumbai this Christmas! The play is probably one of the longest running Akvarious production, having performed over 100 shows across 16 cities, since 2010. It has just the right blend of comedy and satire, exposing the harsh and dark side of the corporate world. This 80 minutes hilarious production will make your Christmas more merrier this year.

The Interview is about a bright, young man, Keith (Karan Pandit) holding his resume close, waits nervously at the reception of one of the country's largest corporations. Moments later he is called in for his job interview. But nothing he learnt in college, university or his last few jobs has prepared him for what comes next perhaps the most unusual and challenging hour of his life. But he's keen to make it through this. After all, it is a job to die for. The character of interviewer is brilliantly played by Kashin Shetty. It is the chemistry of both the characters on the stage that will win our hearts. In fact both the actors were awarded with the Best Actor and the Best Actor in Supporting Role respectively in the at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META)The play was lifted the Best Play trophy that year.

In the times when the country is going through a crises of attrition and employment, The Interview proved to be a live wire. You could instantly relate to the nervous job-seeker, Keith, as someone you would have met in your life at least once. For those who are a part of this rat race of Corporate world, the Interview will have you in splits with its gags on the so called "Corporate World". By the end of the play you will get a self realization that the people you were laughing at were, in effect, ourselves, as we are very much a part of the very same rat race that is going on in this harsh and dark world of corporates. The script of Siddharth Kumar and the direction of Akarsh Khurana is simply superb. The play shows the ludicrous attitude of the corporate world and the ridiculous process of hiring a suitable candidate, in a very satirical and hilarious manner.

The Interview is apparently, one of the most famous plays in Mumbai. Every year it comes to NCPA here, and runs some houseful shows.
