Warframe is set in the future and is definitely made for gamers that love a good sci-fi game. Once you start the game up you'll take on the persona of a Tenno, a unique being that is trained in advanced combat and is capable of using power armor called a Warframe.
This game actually came out over 3 years ago and was initially only available on PC. In late 2013 Warframe was made available on the Playstation 4 system as a F2P game. Don't care for deep story lines and fighting against AI enemies? Well, poo on you. No, but seriously, it's all good - there's an awesome player versus player segment in Warframe that you'll likely enjoy. There are several different PvP game modes from one-on-one duels to objective-based game types where teams of players work together to capture flags or eliminate the enemy team.
Players are able to customize their character a number of different ways. You'll have the opportunity to personalize your character with all kinds of cosmetics as well as choose from a huge range of weapons, utilize mods that give your character special bonuses, and a whole lot more.
There's no doubt about it, Warframe is a truly unique and awesome third-person shooter. The PvE content is both fun and challenging. We'll be 100% honest here - the PvP aspects of the game are far from perfect - but, nevertheless, it plays better than a lot of other shooters and, once again, it's a free game.
Warframe is free and it gives you a lot more content than most AAA shooters. The weapon selection is HUGE and there are seemingly endless ways to customize your character, too. Plus, it's completely free to download and play. Just go get it. Seriously. There's no reason to not at least try it out for an hour or two. Gamers are able to purchase a currency known as Platinum which can be used to buy in-game items including cosmetic pieces, boosts, and more. The cost of platinum varies quite a bit.
