How to find the right light for your house

To have a perfect home is a dream of all. Both the proper light and ventilation is needed for the comfortable living. In the busy cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta and many more it becomes difficult to have a good natural light in the houses. The lighting is not only an addition to an ambience but also is the necessity for the proper vision.

The kind of light you should have in a room depends upon various factors like: size of the room, nature of the room, wall color, furniture, natural light availability, number of lights needed etc. To know in details about the right light for the room, one needs to take care of various factors in the three categories:

(A) The kind of room

(B) light Appearance

(C) Fixtures

 

The Kind of room

When we say kind of room what actually we meant is to find out how much light the room needs and what type of light you need. The light which is perfect according to the above two questions should be selected.

The general formula is followed to know how much light the room requires. This formula is followed by majority of architects and interior designers and architects.

Room Length X Room Width X 1.5 = amount of Wattage of light

Now the concern is the task to be done in the particular room. Accordingly, it is decided the kind of lighting required that is:

General lighting- The lighting in rooms like living room, bed rooms etc. Here, one needs light in general.

Working Light/ Task light- The light in kids' rooms, study room, kitchen, libraries etc. Here, one need to focus on the work. Therefore, light have to be appropriate for the particular task

Highlighting light- If the light is need to highlight some corner or spot then highlighting light should be used. These are normally used over the sceneries, in corners or for a particular area.

The Led bulbs are the choice of today. People are shifting from the CFL and indecent bulbs towards LED. The best reason that all should change to LED are Saving. The saving which are on your personal electricity bill and another saving is to save our mother land by using green products. LED don't have mercury and also have a long life. Thus, is safe for our environment.

After choosing the right king of light for the room, one should see what kind of light appearance they want. The lights are available in different colors. Depending upon individual preference and the room type the light appearance is decided.
