It is being said that the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation have met investors at the Global Business Summit to invest in the only planned satellite town. The Salt Lake, Bidhannagar is one of these four municipality areas.
The investors will be told about the 2,981 crore documented plan that is submitted to the central government for uplifting the Salt Lake. The property in Kolkata has already spoken to three international MNCs who have already worked for smart cities in Europe and they would help to give shape to a smarter Salt Lake. It is already a planned township which needs a few technologies to improve it.
The developers are working for a numerous greener buildings which would be planned along with upgrading buildings to green energy using amenities. Every building that is going to be constructed would be given an option to have solar panels at the rooftop that would be connected to the grid. One can opt for a minimum for 5KW energy which can go up to 25KW. This basically depends on the requirement and size ofthe building. The users would also be provided other relaxations and incentives.
To come up with the township, the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation has joined hands with West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency who would help them with technical assistance along with assisting in getting MNRE funds. Along with the residential and offices spaces, there will be construction of municipal auditorium which will be used as a platform for artists to perform. There is a lot of investment that will be put into this project
For managing the security of this township, there will be around 300 surveillance cameras that would be installed all across the township that will be connected through optic fires and will be monitored through a central control room. Along with the security, the control room will also take care of other details in the township including a helpline number that they will be handling.
Kolkata properties will also have all purpose mobile vehicles to take care of the pets would be present in the locality. Also, they plan to bring in all the hospitals online under one roof where one can compare the amenities and the services offered by them.
Along with many properties in Kolkata, Salt Lake has expressed to work with the municipality in the Smart City initiative with numerous international delegates who have also extended support for the same. The authorities are already in the talking terms with countries like US and Canada to get their support in this initiative that they are planning through property in Pune . Also, many beautification projects are taken up which includes Central Parks, pedestrian zones, bicycle lanes and wetlands that will be used for eco-tourism purposes.Definitely, all this will lead to a Smart City which Pune will for sure turn into in the coming years.
