Courage, faith and honour are three very essential values. But sometimes we don't give enough importance to these values. But time and again, Nature reminds us the importance of these values and puts us in situations that demand and test us to our limits. Those who pull through are people who are able to master these qualities in testing times.

The Finest Hours is one such instance, a man was tested and he pulled through. In 1952, the US Coast Guard faced a rescue operation. It was tasked with rescuing an oil tanker, SS Pendleton after it split during a macroscale storm off the coast of New England. Bernard "Bernie" Webber, a crewman was tasked with the operation. According to the locals, it was a suicide mission. The sea was rough and the storm was terrifying. But, with just three other crew members, Bernie managed to rescue 32 men; his lifeboat was designed to take on the capacity of just 12 men. In the hour of need, he pulled through and showed immense courage.

The Finest Hours chronicles the events of that fateful day in the form of an American disaster film. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film stars Chris Pine, Eric Bana, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster, Holliday Grainger, John Ortiz, Josh Stewart, Graham McTavish and many other celebrated actors. Chris Pine plays the role of Bernie Webber. Eric Bana plays the Station Commander who orders Bernie Webber to go on the rescue operation. Holliday Grainger plays Bernie Webber's future wife, Miriam Pentinen Webber. Casey Affleck, who you might remember from Ocean's Trilogy and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (for

which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor), plays Ray Sybert.

Ben Foster plays Seaman Richard Livesey. He'll be seen next in Inferno. The Finest Hours is based on the novel by Michael J. Tougias and Casey Sherman The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard's Most Daring Sea Rescue. In 2011, Walt Disney Pictures acquired the rights and roped in Eric Johnson, Scott Silver and Paul Tamasy to write the screenplay. The film also has twenty soundtracks. The music of the film is composed by Carter Burwell. The editing was done by Tatiana S. Riegel and it required close to 1,000 visual effects shots.

On January 25, 2016, the movie was made its world premiere. The premiere was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The film has garnered mixed reviews and has managed to make just $11.9 million at the Box Office. The film releases on 5th February 2016 in India.
