IPTL is finally here! Tennis action has begun and it has stated from Japan. The first leg of the International Premier Tennis League, India's first professional tennis league was hosted by Japan in Kobe, World Hall. After a grand opening ceremony, matches were played in Japan from December 2 to December 4. The home team and the first timers in IPTL, Japan Warriors, failed to take home advantage and lost all their matches against Indian Aces, Philippines Mavericks, UAE Royals and Singapore Slammers. 

Now, in its second leg, IPTLhas moved to its second destination, Manilla. IPTL matches are being played here at the Mall of Asia Arena. Yesterday in their first home encounter at home, Philippines Mavericks have defeated UAE Royals quite comfortably. They won all their sets, except the Mixed Doubles, in which UAE Royals, team of Nestor/Mladenovic pulled the result in their favour in the closely fought match. Japan Warriors, after losing all their matches at home, here also tasted defeat at the hands of Singapore Slammers. Out of five sets, they were able to win only two, Men's Doubles and Men's Singles. They are yet to register a match win. 

The defending champion, the Micromax Indian Aces is showing a sublime form in the second season of IPTL. It has won all its three matches, it has played so far. They have defeated UAE Royals quite comfortably today. They have won all their five sets. Indian Aces is beaming with confidence presently. All their star players, Sania Mirza, Rafael Nadal, Samantha Stosur Fabrice Santoro, Dodig and Rohan Bopanna are performing exceptionally good. At the moment Indian Aces are looking in a very good form. Their home encounters are yet to be played. India will be hosting IPTL matches from December 10th to December 12 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. 

IPTL has definitely raised the bars for the Asian Tennis fans. The league that was founded by Mahesh Bhupathi met with an overwhelming response last year. And, this year too response has been quite outsyanding as of now. The organizers have also managed to make it even bigger this time by roping in players like, Roger Fedrer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova. Asia was never the hub for Tennis. Now, with IPTL, tennis action has shifted to the Asian countries and the fans are just loving it! Finally, their quench for quality Tennis has been satisfied, thanks to IPTL.
