1. Exfoliate 1 to 3 times a week.

Exfoliating helps shed any dead skin cells sitting on the top layer of skin that are absorbing your skin care product. Dead skin cells, which can appear often times as dry skin flakes, can be the culprit that's preventing your skin care from actively working on and repairing the skin. That top layer of dead skin is more likely absorbing the product than your actual skin itself. In order for you skin to cause a chemical reaction that causes visible changes on your skin the product must make its way past the top layer. Take my word for it, exfoliating 1 to 3 times a week will ensure proper absorption. An easy guide would be to exfoliate 1 time for sensitive/mature/dry skin and 2 to 3 times for oily/acne skin.

2. Top your skin care with a facial oil.

You know the saying like attracts like, your skin's follicles produce oil from deep within and when you finish off your routine with a light layer of facial oil, the oil helps accelerate the penetration by taking your skin care into deeper levels of your skin. Two oils best for skin penetration are Almond oil and Olive Oil, both show deep skin penetration in studies. Another beneficial oil which is similar to our own oil production is Jojoba oil. For best practice just take a very small amount of oil and rub it between the palms of your hands and lightly tap the oil (with the palms of your hands) over your serums and moisturizer to help them penetrate better.

3. Don't judge your skin until after 40 days.

What you may not know is that your skin has not had enough time to react and cause a noticeable change because it takes anywhere from 28 days to 48 days for new baby cells (glowing skin cells) to migrate their way up from the deepest layer of the skin to the surface.  And, until that process has happened you will NOT see the full benefits of your skin care. If you are bailing out on your routine in less than 40 days, you and only you  have failed your skin. Be patient and allow your skin the time it needs to fully process and chemically reconstruct for glowing smooth skin.

Applying these three steps to your daily skin care routine will help you reap the full benefits of your products performance and allow your skin to truly beautify itself to the max.
