Using acai powder will help to achieve a thick consistency. Avoid adding ice as it can water down the flavors.
Ingredients:
Half of a small banana, one tablespoon of acai berry powder, half cup of frozen strawberries, half cup of frozen blueberries and half cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
Toppings:
One fourth cup of blueberries, half banana and kiwi (peeled, sliced or chopped), one fourth cup of peeled and chopped pineapple or mango and one fourth cup of strawberries (sliced) as well as honey.
Method of Preparation:
In a blender add the entire ingredients and blend on low until larger chunks are broken down. Then gradually increase the speed of the bender while adding a splash of milk. Blend the mixture or puree for 15 to 20 seconds.
After the blending is done, pour the puree or mixture into a bowl and arrange the toppings in stripes as per their respective color. You can arrange the fruits in the bowl filled with puree from left to right with blueberries, kiwi, banana, pineapple and strawberries. This will give a rainbow effect to your dish. Finish the topping by drizzling honey.
