This weekend, Vietnamese cuisine is just waiting to be discovered by you. Chef Rushina M. Ghildiyal is hosting a workshop on Vietnamese cuisine this Friday at ABP Cook Studio, Mumbai. If you are a foodie and love to explore different cuisines, then don't miss this one-of-its kind workshop on Vietnamese cuisine.

In her workshop, Introduction to Vietnamese Cuisine, Rushina M Ghildiyal, will introduce you to the delicacies of Vietnam. In the past few years Vietnamese food has become more and more popular around the world. For the foodies who care for health as well, Vietnamese food is one of the healthiest cuisines in the world. The cuisine of Vietnam has influences from Asia, France and Europe. Like, Thanks to the influence of neighbouring China, people tend to use more soy sauce than other parts, where fish sauce is more usual. Other common ingredients in Vietnamese cooking include black pepper, hot chili, coconut milk, limes, lemon grass, tamarind and cane sugar, courtesy of the French influence. Many European influences can be found in Vietnamese dishes, including sauces, meats, cold roast pork, patés and baguettes. Most of their delicacies are very simple to cook. They don't believe in complexity as such.

When you talk about Vietnamese food, you can never skip rice and noodles (cooked in various forms). That is why, chef Rushina M. Ghildiyal has included the Vietnamese Glass Noodle Salad and Rice Paper Rolls in her menu for the day. Vietnamese just love salad! What Vietnamese cuisine would be complete without Pho. This simple staple consisting of a salty broth, fresh rice noodles, a sprinkling of herbs and chicken or beef, features predominately in the local diet. Chef Rushina has Lacquered Chicken Pho in her menu too. There another very popular and delicious dish of Vietnamese, which is called Ba La Lot. Vietnamese are masters of wrapping their food. Bo la lot is neither raw nor deep-fried, but flamed on an open grill to soften the exterior and infuse the betel leaf's peppery aroma into the ground beef inside. To complete her menu, chef has included a dessert also, called Banh Cam Pops. Banh Cam pops are the delicious orange Sesame balls, which makes the wonderful dessert.

Vietnamese cuisine is very less explored in our country. In most of food festivals also, we rarely find this cuisine. So, if you love to discover this delicious and healthy cuisine, then you know which place you should to be this Friday!
