So you and your roommate are ready to host an amazing party? You probably have the kegs ready and your favorite bottles chilling in the freezer, while your neighbor is bringing over jello shot syringes to add life to the party.

Everything's all set, right? Wrong! The problem about hosting a party is not knowing what to do with the first few people who arrive there. Most of the times, they aren't really your close friends and let's face it, it is too awkward dancing with 5 people. So what do you do? Two words-drinking games!

Drinking games give you a great way to kill time and create an atmosphere at your party. Here are a few games that will definitely help you get the party started:

#1-Beer Pong

Beer Pong is hands down, the Olympic sort of drinking games. All you need is a keg, a few plastic cups and a ping pong ball along with good stomach strength. Throw a ball if it lands in a cup, the opponent has to drink it. Each team gets only one re-rack per game.

If you are looking forward to start off on a beginner level, fill the cups halfway only to make chugging easier and preserve beer supply.

#2-'F' The Dealer

'F' the Dealer is a card based game where the player holding a deck and asking the person standing next what the top card is. If the guess is wrong, the dealer then says lower or higher and the player guesses again.

If the second guess is wrong then the player must drink the difference between the card they guessed and the card they drew. If the guess is correct, the dealer drinks the amount according to the cards and passes it on the next player on the left.

#3-Kings

Also called Ring of Fire or the Circle of Death and a million other creative names, Kings merely requires a cup, some creativity and a deck of cards. Spread the deck of cards around a single cup and have players pick out the deck at random.

Each card may be assigned a different rule like 'Nine bust a rhyme', 'Take a drink and go again for an Ace' and much more. When a player draws a king, they must pour as much of their beer or as little in the center cup. The person who draws the fourth king must chug whatever the end combination of alcohol the game has produced.

#4-Flip Cup

Here, you only need cups, beer and your friends. Create two team of equal size and give each player half a beer. When the game starts the players at the end of the table must chug their beers and set the cup on its top using their fingers to flip it. Then a relay race follows where each player must do the same.

#5-Dude Game

All you need for the Dude Game are some drinks and a copy of the movie 'The Big Lebowski'. People who have already seen the movie might know where this is going. You watch the movie as a group and drink whenever you hear the word 'dude'. It might seem easy but get ready for like anywhere between 250 and 260 sips.
