Tennis action is about to begin! IPTL, International Premier Tennis League is just round the corner. Asian fans are all geared up to watch their favorite players playing live on the Asian soil. Japan Warriors are debuting this time along with the four existing teams, Indian Aces, Singapore Slammers, UAE Royals and Philippines Mavericks. Many new players are also joining the league this time. The championship have become bigger and better.
All the five countries, representing five teams will host few matches. The opening ceremony of IPTL 2015 will be hosted by Japan. Japan will be hosting the first leg of the tournament i.e from Dec 2 – Dec 4. In Japan matches will be played in Kobe, World Hall. The second leg will be played in Manila, from Dec 6- 8, third leg of the league will be played in New Delhi, India, from Dec 10-12, the fourth in Dubai, UAE, from Dec 14 – 16 and the fifth and the final leg of the league will be played in Singapore, from Dec 18-20.
A grand treat awaits the Indian fans this time. India for the first time ever will welcome and host the World's number one Tennis player, Novak Djokovic aka "Joker". A marquee match-up, Roger-Rafa, is scheduled to be played in the Indian edition of IPTL. For the first time ever, these two players will be playing against each other on the Indian soil. This match will surely be the highlight of the season. Novak Djokovic will be playing from the Singapore Slammers side as a Marquee player. Excitement level is already soaring so high amongst the Indian fans. New Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium is all set to host the matches from 10th to 12th December. The Indian Aces, our home team, will take on Singapore Slammers, UAE Royals, Philippine Mavericks and Japan Warriors, at their home ground.
IPTL 2014 proved to be a massive success. This year promised to be even bigger and better. Mahesh Bhupati, the founder of the league has managed to roped in many more ace players to play in the IPTL this time. Top players like, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Leander Paes, Sania Mirza, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Marat Safin, Carlos Moya and many more will be seen playing on the Asian soil. Asia will again become the tennis hot spot. The format of the league is such that, the spectators will be entertained thoroughly.
