Safety Issues in Children's Clothing

Ensure they are not too tight. These can cause bad rashes and irritability. This can also lead to stomach pain. Make sure the elastic bands are soft and flexible.3. Sequins and appliqueAvoid heavily sequined/studded garments for very small kids. Also make sure that an outfit with sequin or appliques has a soft inner lining, so that the baby's sensitive skin is not rubbed against them. Check that these decoratives are tightly sewn.4. Flammable sleepwearIt is especially important to check for fame-resistant labels on kids clothes before buying them. More so for sleepwear. Also to prevent any burn injury pick snug-fitting clothes with tight cuffs, ankles and waists. 5. Tight Socks/MittensCheck that the socks or the mittens do not have extra tight bands/ elastic at the end which could cut off the blood flow in hands or feet. Check for loose threads that might wrap around the toes or fingers and again, cut off the blood circulation. Even if the quality is good, those tight socks could leave elastic marks on baby's sensitive skin.

6. Shoe LacesFor young kids, it usually a good idea to go for shoes sans laces. You can opt for shoes with convenient Velcro fastening over laced ones. Or make sure to tie the laces properly, or else the child may trip and fall. 7. Uneasy accessoriesDon't junk it on. Keep it easy with kids and don't over laden their tiny delicate frames. Accessories like plastic or metal jewelry could have harmful sharp edges, hard headbands can irritate the scalp. So make sure you are careful about your baby's safety while picking up attractive looking new born baby accessories. Not every thing that looks good feels good.
