The medical and hospital situation in India is getting even worse by the unstoppable population of Inida. A very large number of kids are deprived of basic medical facilities and as a result, most of such children die every year. Mission Heal NGO believes that kids shouldn't be deprived of basic medical facilities and NGOs along with the state government should do noticeable work on emergency basis in the health sector. Then child labor unfortunately is a very common thing in India. There are laws against child labor in India, but still you will find this issue to be uncontrollable. The Mission Heal NGO is doing considerable work in the exploitation and controlling of child abuse. The Bihar and West Bengal states are the worst in terms of child trafficking issues.

Role of NGO in India for children:

Children unfortunately are the most affected group, especially in the occurrence of some natural disaster or emergency situation. The action plan of Mission Heal in any emergency situation starts with the protection of children as they are the worst affected party. The rehabilitation and development program for the children becomes later when the signs of disaster or an emergency tends to fade away. The NGOs then give all sorts of awareness to children as how they should react to any further emergency situation if it comes. The children beneficiary programs initiated by the management of NGOs are well designed by keeping the cross cutting themes in mind. The programs are non discriminated and they are always designed in the best interest of children.

The 3 different groups of children for which NGOs work in India:

NGOs face really difficult challenges when dealing with the child issues in the society. There are basically 3 distinct types of child issues for which a number of NGOs all across India work extensively for the rights and their rehabilitation. The following are the three distinct types of children in India, which gives tough challenges for NGOs to tackle:

  1. Children affected by any sort of disaster or emergency situation such as flood or earthquake etc.
  2. Children who get affected by exploitation, child trafficking and other forms of child abuse which is becoming one of the biggest issues of Inida.
  3. Children who are orphans or havea very inadequate parental care.

Enhancing the lives of children in India is probably the most difficult task for NGOs, mainly because of the scale of the problem. They really need to work hard in order to get to the core of the problem and then begin their practical activities to benefit all the deprived and underprivileged children of Inida.

An advantage which most of the NGO working for enhancing the lives of children have is that they get lots of donations for children's programs. Many wealthy people, rich industrialist/ corporate groups and the government of India as well heavily fund NGOs for children's issues. Further, international donations in this regard are also considerable.
