14 were assigned to liposuction and 18 were not. Doctors removed 5 liters of fat from three main regions of their bodies, which they maintained with proper eating habits and exercise. After six weeks the body fat of the women in liposuction group declined by 2.1% and 0.28% for the other group. Thus proving that subcutaneous fat returned in various other areas.

However the exact reason for the return of the fat was not found, but the brain senses loss of fat and may be restores it in other areas.

Unexplained weight gain

Maintaining your eating habits, diet plans and exercise is equally required can definitely help you in staying the way you were when you went through liposuction. But even after doing all this if you are facing considerable amount of weight gain, then consult a general physician without any delay.
