2. Cover the paste with a plastic sheet and leave this it for 12 to 24 hours. The longer sit time allows the dye to release. More time give you more red colour.

3. Add some Indigo powder and cocoa butter in this paste and add some hot water(just below to boiling point) and make a mixture of consistency of yoghurt.

4. Allow it for 10-15 minutes and the green powder start changing its colour from dark purple to black and when the colour turns totally black it is ready for use. You can mix some essential oils at this stage for better results.

5. Before applying this mixture on your hair apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly on the open parts like hairline, ears and neck.

6. Apply this Henna and Indigo paste on dry hair sections and completely cover all the hair from tip to root. The easiest way to apply this paste on your hair from the back and move forward. Along with the petroleum jelly wear gloves to protect your hands and towel to cover the shoulders for protecting clothes from the stains.

7. Cover your hair with the plastic or shower cap and leave for 1- 6 hours. The more you time to leave the paste on your hair the darker colour you will get.

8. Rinse off with cool water and do not shampoo for 24 to 48 hours because henna/indigo needs time to oxidise.

9.The colour will look dark brown at first and turn deeper brown to black in 2-4 days.

10. Repeat the same process per month for coloured, healthy and thick hair.
