This is continuation of my last article. You learnt importance of video recording in improving English and communication skills in that write-up.

My mentor also suggested me another tool to sharpen knowledge of English language and communication skills. We have been using this tool day in, day out. It is proper use of this tool which makes us improve our communication skills. 

He said, "If you want to improve your communication, listen to all great communicator attentively."

He advised me to watch and listen to talk shows, debate shows, and celebrity interviews. He explained importance of listening by saying, "If you listen carefully, apply sincerely what you learn, believe on yourself profoundly, you can learn anything you want."

 

I started listening to many talk shows relentlessly. I observed phenomenal benefit of listening. Let us see how listening benefits us:

1. Listen to your industry experts and you will come to know their philosophy, vision and mind set. Understanding their mind can skyrocket your career.

 

By the way, you may not have liberty of time to start listening. You can convert your commuting hours to your listening hours, or better learning hours. Convert videos into audios and listen to them while driving or sitting idle.

2. All good communicator speak very comfortably. Contagious effect will catch you soon and you will also start speaking comfortable by listening to them.

3. By listening to great minds and successful people, you peep into their life and you also start imitating their best practices to improve your life. I can tell you through my personal experience, it works.

 4. All great people across the world have good habits and strategies which make them unique and successful. They unearth their strategies inadvertently during interviews and talk shows.

 5. Listening can give you company of the most intelligent people. If you are an ardent listener, you will listen to empowering, motivating, and their life become your motivation to create phenomenal things in life.

 7. If you want to make a presentation on a subject, you can listen to subject expert for ten days or so; you can sharpen your knowledge through listening and you will have enough material to make presentation.
